What is RSS and how it works? RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication.

Adding an RSS Feeds to your blog is one way to increase traffic to your blog or website. It allows your reader to easily stay informed by retrieving the latest content of your website that they are interested in. You also save time by not needing to visit each website individually.
FeedBurner also offers Email Subscription service, which uses your feed in sending an email notification to subscribers when a new post is uploaded in your blog or website. Now, the first thing you have to do is sign up a free account on FeedBurner.com. If you already have a feedburner account, login and click My Feeds on the top left portion of the site. For adding an Email Subscriptions on your site, simply go to Publicize tab located on the feedburner site and activate the Email Subscription Service. Once activated, FeedBurner will provide HTML code for a subscription form you should copy and place it on your own site. The form consist of a textbox and submit button and readers can subscribe to receive daily email with your newest content.

You can also offer email subscriptions from a link rather than a form. Feedburner generates a Subscription Link Code.
Users who click it will be prompted to enter their email address in the form that appears.
